What Is RYLA?

RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) is a life-changing leadership training program where young people learn, develop, and enhance leadership skills and principles in an atmosphere of trust and respect. RYLA encourages and assists current and potential youth leaders in methods of responsible and effective leadership. Many past RYLArians claim, “It was the best week of my life!”

For 2021, Rocky Mountain RYLA is offering a one day, virtual conference. The conference will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021

Who Are The Featured Speakers?

  • Cory Ciocchetti – DU professor, top-rated keynote speaker at previous RYLA conferences.
  • Getanjali Rao – Time Magazine’s first-ever Kid of the Year!

Who May Apply?

High school students whose grade level in the 2021-2022 school year will be 10th, 11th, or 12th. Students currently in grade 12 who are graduating in Spring 2021 may also apply.

How Much Does It Cost?

The cost of the RYLA conference is covered by the Rotary Clubs in districts 5440 and 5450. There is no cost to the students who participate in the conference.

What About Young RYLA?

Young RYLA: This Virtual RYLA is for (Senior) RYLA and RYLA Plus. Those eligible for Young RYLA in  2021 will not have a Young RYLA to attend, but we will gladly welcome them at RYLA in 2-3 short years!
